An Affordable Senior Living Community Coming Soon to Riverside, CA

NPHS is partnered with Homes & Hope to develop a new affordable housing senior living community in Riverside, CA. The mid-rise apartment buildings will be located on two adjacent sites in downtown Riverside, California at the corner of 5th Street and Lime Street. The sites are within walking and transit distance of Riverside’s Civic Center, Library, museums, and historic landmarks like the Mission Inn. It is also near an RTA rapid route and less than half a mile from the Downtown Riverside Metrolink Station.

Up to 98 Affordable Units

Heritage Square will house up to 98 seniors. Site 1 will have 30-35 units and Site 2 will have 55-65 units. The living development will offer subsidized rental units to lower-income older adults (80% AMI) with a goal to provide safe and supportive housing that allows seniors to age in place.

Thoughtful Design

The high-density development will integrate naturally into the surrounding historic residential community. Special care has been taken to design the building massing and placement of the proposed four and five story structures to not overwhelm the community. Heritage Square has a design concept that blends historical Spanish revival architecture with modern contemporary design to create a unique sense of place. The street scene will be further enhanced by thoughtful landscape design, walkable pathways and artistic corridors.
