NPHS is delighted to announce our 23rd Annual Benefit Dinner and Awards Celebration to be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We hope that you will accept this early invitation and join us as we continue to create sustainable communities, and honor those that have contributed greatly to strengthening the neighborhoods we serve.
All net proceeds generated by this event will go towards our Healthy Homes Grant Program. Research and numerous studies find that communities’ physical, social and economic environments affect individuals’ health and exacerbate health disparities. The program provides essential home safety repair grants for low-income senior citizen homeowners, veteran homeowners and homeowners with permanent mobility disabilities living throughout the Inland Empire and Eastern Los Angeles County.
As we embark on our third decade of service, we cannot help but reflect on our rich history of creating healthier communities. Since 1991, NPHS has helped more than 2,300 homeowners and elderly residents improve their homes to safer and healthier conditions; purchased, renovated and sold 150 vacant, distressed properties to first-time homebuyers; built 12 new residential homes; conducted over 150 neighborhood improvement projects; and assisted over 6,000 families achieve their dream of homeownership. Over the last five years these programs generated $280 million in direct investment into our local communities.
At this time, we are seeking sponsors and inviting our community partners to purchase tickets for our event. Our Healthy Homes Grant Program will benefit greatly from your participation.
