Riverside, CA – On October 15th, NPHS hosted the 24th Annual Sunset Reception—a fundraiser dedicated to supporting the Healthy Homes Grant Program benefiting senior and veteran homeowners. Surrounded by friends and representatives from local government, housing industry, financial institutions, and community organizations, NPHS welcomed the vibrant Riverside sunset from the rooftop of the historic and architecturally beautiful Riverside Art Museum. With an alluring skyline background, Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey commenced the program by welcoming the audience to the City of Riverside and delivering a moving speech on the importance of assisting homeless veterans and the impact of affordable housing. NPHS was delighted to recognize Congressman Mark Takano of Riverside with the Grassroots Leadership Award for his commitment to environmental sustainability, community development, and affordable housing.

All net proceeds from this event directly support the Healthy Homes Program that provides grants to limited-income seniors and disabled veteran homeowners.
