Affordable Multifamily Developments Coming Soon to the County of San Bernardino
NPHS is partnered with Homes & Hope and the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) to propose new multifamily developments located in the City of San Bernardino and Fontana. The projects will introduce thoughtfully designed mid-rise apartments buildings to the communities they are located in and will total 205 units in the City of San Bernardino building and 128 units in the City of Fontana building. Both developments will be made affordable and designed to accommodate residents with impairments.
Careful attention has been given in ensuring that both the five-story structures integrates naturally into the surrounding neighborhoods. Both the building’s massing and placement are intentionally designed to avoid overwhelming nearby structures and homes, and will create a smooth transition between the new development and preexisting community fabric.
San Bernardino – 205 New Affordable Homes
On a Department of General Services (DGS) property, partners will create 205 affordable rental homes in a community where many families face significant rent burden. This development brings deeply needed stability and opportunity to local households.
Fontana – 128 New Affordable Homes
The former Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) site in Fontana will be transformed into 128 affordable apartments for large families, located close to jobs, services, and transit in one of California’s fastest-growing regions.
