Center for Community Enterprises

Creating Space for Innovation and Community-Owned Futures

NPHS is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a second headquarters in the City of Riverside. This will serve as the future home of the Center for Community Enterprises, a regional hub designed to scale resident-led solutions in housing, economic mobility, and disaster preparedness and recovery.

The Center is expected to open in July 2025 and will serve as the heart of NPHS’ expanding vision to foster community-owned futures across the Inland Empire. The Center strengthens NPHS’ approach to comprehensive, social enterprise-driven community development.

The Center for Community Enterprises will be a living lab for community innovation, where resident leaders, social entrepreneurs, and cross-sector partners collaborate to transform ideas into impactful, sustainable initiatives.

The Center will incubate and accelerate initiatives, including:

  • Community Land Banks to facilitate the transfer of land for affordable housing
  • Disaster Preparedness and Recovery programs that strengthen neighborhood resilience
  • Health and Wellness Housing Initiatives that integrate housing with healthcare and well-being outcomes
  • CDFI Ventures expands access to affordable consumer financing and builds community wealth

As the incubation site for NPHS’ Neighborhood Partnership Councils (NPCs), the Center will also serve as a platform for residents to co-design, launch, and scale community enterprises aligned with their neighborhood’s specific needs and aspirations. A diverse ecosystem of partners will work alongside NPHS and community residents to align investments, resources, and innovation toward shared goals of housing resilience and economic opportunity.
